Music is important in my life. When I was 15 Years old I received a Philips Mono Cassette player. This was my first introduction to Music beside listening to Radio Luxembourg (Oh boy - thats a long time ago :-) ).
The first tape I bought was "In Rock" with Deep Purple. After that Deep Purple has been one of my favorite bands, and I got all their regular Albums. Most of them on LP. For those of you who remember what that is!
Some Deep Purple links:
*The Highway Star. The Original Deep Purple web pages.
* The Deep Purple Appreciation Society.

I collected LP's in "old" days. Now I buy's CD's from time to time, and have even gone digitally. Some of my latest albums have been downloaded. A bit scary. Now they’re not a physical item any more.
Besides Music is this my main interests:
Music and picture. Has finally got my own home cinema, with a Surround system and a BenQ HD projector. We watch a lot of movies.. Have also been filming the kids since they were born. Everything is now transferred to the PC , where I have made DVD's of all the tapes. That took a while!
Training. Tries as best I can to keep in shape. Have tried a lot (soccer, badminton, running, judo and Ju-Jitsu), but I tend to get bored after a while.
Alpine skiing. Have been doing downhill slalom for over 30 years. And this activity I don't get bored of. The last years we have been a group of grown up guys who have been travelling to Austria/Italy for a week of skiing during the winter. A lovely week, with a lot of skiing and some after-ski too!
Good food and drink. After mixing a lot of drinks in my early years, I now only drink red win and whiskey. The whiskey must be Scottish single malt. Lagavulin and Laphroaig are good alternatives. Check out the Whiskey Trail for more info.
Travelling. We started with taking the kids for a couple of weeks with sun and bathing in Greece. After that the trips have been longer and longer. And that's a bit expensive. So we have to skip travelling from time to time, for saving money for the next "long journey".
Riding. The first time I tried this activity was in the autumn of 2006. I'm a huge Cowboy film lover, so I instantly loved it. We (Myself, my daughter and wife) liked it so much that we decided to buy a horse. "Now or never". So we jumped into it. This is the most difficult sport/activity I have ever tried. But I'm not giving in! So these days this take's the most of my spare time.
