After the Hurricane Jeanne had slowed down a it was time to see more of Florida. We then headed for Miami. On the way down we saw the Hurricanes ravages many places. We tried to drive along Highway A1A (edge of the sea) a bit, but was stopped by the Police when the road was partially blocked. So the we droved the main road (H95) downward. Well in Miami we drove over to Miami Beach to find a hotel. We ended up at the "Best Western Beach Resort". A great hotel, which was located right on the beach. The car was parked and we headed for the beach and Art-Deco district.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The first day we travelled around in Miami a bit. The other day we went further down the coast in the direction of Everglades. Near the town of Homestead, we found an Alligator farm, where they also arranged "Air Boat Rides". It was incredibly fun. After a short visit to this part of the Everglades, we drove out to the "Keys". We drove som miles down the "keys" before we realized that we just had to to turn around, if we were to reach back to Miami, before the sun went down. If one is going out to Key West, you should have a full day. Preferably with accommodation there. That was our plan, but the Hurricane in Orlando ruined our plan.

In the evening we were driven in an Liomousin down to the "Art Deco" district for a full meal. The kids first trip in a Limo! Next day we woke up early and heade for Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center.
