Orlando was the main target for our vacation. Initially we shouild stay here for 5 days but we stayed here for 8 days. Partly because there simply is so much to do here, and partly because we were stuck because of a hurricane. We stayed at the Radisson Resort Parkway. This hotel is close to Disney World, but also close to the I4, which is the main road.

Orlando is the Capitol of amusement parks in the world. There are a whole bunch of them, and one may well spend 14 days in the parks here without getting bored. We bought a package with access to 5 different parks, with unlimited access over a 14-day period. It was Universal Studios, Island of Adventure (Universal Studios property), Sea World, Wet 'n Wild and Busch Gardens (in Tampa). We spent 1 day in each park. At this time of year the amont of tourists was quit low, so there was almost never a line anywhere. We stood in a line once, at one attraction at Busch Gardens. Otherwise it was mainly just to go straight on to each attraction. The disadvantage of travelling in the Autumn is of course that the Weather may be a bit unstable. We experienced that, since The Hurricane "Jeanne" hit Florida and swept right over Orlando while we stayed there.
Except from that 24 hours we had good weather all the time (T-Shirt and shorts weather). In Orlando (and Florida in general) there are also great opportunities for Shopping. It is several huge Mall's (department store), where each of them require several days if one is to be thorough. We didn't do that, but we spent some Hours in a couple of Malls! The size of the parking lots around the Malls testified that it could be a lot of people here! We visited the "Florida Mall" and the "Beltz Factory Outlet" (now sold to the Prime Outlet). In addition, we had a Nike Factory Outlet right at the hotel. All in all we returned back home with an extra suitcase ...

Orlando (and New York) was the highlights for the children on this holiday. They could probably have stayed inside Universal Studios (which also is possible) and only been there for 14 days. We simply did not have time enough to visit Disney World, which includes 5 different parks. Another thing is of course that all this costs some meoney! It is certainly not free. Se you choose either the "Disney Package" or the "Universal Package".
